Education
Attorney Levine received her B.A. from Brown University in 1988 and her J.D. from Cornell University Law School in 1991.
Memberships
Ms. Levine is a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Counsel for the University of Connecticut Foundation and Law School. She is also a council member of the Regional Council for Lawyers for Children America, a child advocacy organization protecting the rights of children who are victims of abuse, abandonment and neglect. In addition, she is a board member of the Brown Alumni Club of Northern and Central Connecticut.
She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Andrea Levine serves as counsel in the firm’s trusts & estates planning department, its real estate and land use practice group, and its business, corporate and commercial law group. She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, commercial real estate and corporate law. Ms. Levine advises clients and their families by customizing estate plans that contemplate both their personal needs and any tax-driven concerns. She also frequently represents clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, financing, leasing and sale of commercial properties. Her practice also includes a focus on business and corporate law matters involving mergers and acquisitions, contract law, corporate finance and general corporate law.
Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Levine was in private practice and handled a variety of commercial real estate and corporate matters. Ms. Levine has extensive experience representing institutional lenders in the origination of multi-million dollar commercial real estate loans, including drafting and negotiating loan documents, purchase and sale agreements and leases. She has represented a rating agency and loan servicers in connection with the modification of securitized loans, including loan assumptions, property substitutions and equity transfers. In addition to the practice of real estate law, Ms. Levine has a broad corporate practice with an emphasis on general corporate and corporate finance matters.
