Education
Mr. Wise is a graduate of Columbia University (B.A., 1969) and the University of Connecticut (J.D., high honors 1973). 

Memberships
Mr. Wise is a member of the Executive Committee of the Planning and Zoning Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. 

Lewis K. Wise practices primarily in the area of employment law and land use law. He regularly handles a wide range of employment disputes for employers including discrimination and wrongful discharge suits. He also drafts and reviews personnel manuals and represents employers with respect to severance agreements, employment contracts and other employment issues. In addition, Mr. Wise is a member of the firm’s real estate and land use practice group specializing in land use law. He appears on a regular basis before land use boards and commissions around the State, handles land use appeals and other land use litigation in the courts, and lectures regularly on zoning issues. 

Experience
Before joining the firm, Mr. Wise was a lawyer with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he represented the interests of the United States and its agencies in litigation throughout the country. He also served as a law clerk to the Chief Judge of the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
