Education
He is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A., 1973) and the University of Connecticut (J.D., with honors, 1977), where he was a member and Associate Editor of the Connecticut Law Review. 

Memberships
He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hartford County Bar Association and was co-chair of its Continuing Legal Education Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Legal Aid Foundation, and the Hartford County Bar Foundation 

Paul B. Zolan is a member of the firm's real estate and land use practice group, as well as its business, corporate and commercial law group. He also participates in litigation, and serves as an arbitrator. Mr. Zolan was a Commissioner and Chairman of the West Hartford Housing Authority from 1986 until 1995, where he was involved in numerous issues involving public housing. He was also a member of the West Hartford Charter Revision Commission. Mr. Zolan is a member of the Commercial and Construction Panels of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association, and as a sole arbitrator or as a member of a three arbitrator panel, he has heard numerous cases involving real estate, construction and various other contractual disputes. He is a Lecturer in Law, teaching Real Estate Transactions, at the University of Connecticut School of Law, and was an adjunct faculty member in its Lawyering Process Program from 2003 through 2005. 

Experience
Mr. Zolan regularly provides advice and has extensive experience in business transactions of many kinds, including acquisitions and sales, intra-corporate and shareholder disputes and split-ups, and real estate, including acquisitions and leases. Mr. Zolan has participated in and moderated seminars sponsored by the Hartford County Bar Association involving real estate conveyances, mechanics' liens and surety bonds, tax aspects of real estate transactions, lawyer's opinion letters, including those involved in mortgage transactions and arbitration, and has taught a seminar involving licensure of real estate brokers and sales personnel, and listing agreements.
